Summary of the study of humanitarian needs in Chad in support of DG ECHO, 2008

International assistance to Chad faces a range of challenges. To strengthen the analysis of humanitarian needs, support its internal programming and improve links with other donors, DG ECHO commissioned a strategic study mission to Groupe URD. A multidisciplinary team of three specialists visited the field for one month and toured all the areas concerned in southern and eastern Chad in March-April 2008, thus meeting most of the actors on the ground. The observations collected suggest different diagnostic points and different levels of recommendations.
