The earthquake of 12 January 2010 contributed to the destruction of the country’s economic structure. A major programme involving social, economic and physical reconstruction and providing goods and services was set in motion. This study analyses how jobs, job offers and training evolved in the job market in urban areas, from a gender perspective. It establishes a typology of qualified and non-qualified, informal and formal jobs, and training courses, and describes current and future needs in terms of supporting the professional training sector.Cécile Bérut
