This study looks at the vulnerabilities and resilience or survival strategies of the people in the Sundarbans delta in Bangladesh faced with natural and climatic disasters. It questions humanitarian practices in the long term and seeks to contribute to debates about capacity building, resilience and relations between state and supra-state actors.
