There has been a significant increase in tension and violent conflict in recent years in the regions of Mopti and Ségou. The area affected is extremely complex and varied. The IRF 217 project, ‘Peers for Peace Building, Social Cohesion in Mali and Ségou Regions’, aims to find solutions to some of the underlying causes of tension, in order to prevent this turning into conflict. The evaluation aims to show whether the project’s successes – and failures – are due to its design and its theory of change, or more the result of its implementation.Johanna Baché & François Grünewald
