Workshop Report – Water and sanitation in post-crisis contexts seminar, 2009

The challenges facing humanitarian and development assistance actors, particularly in post-conflict and post-natural disaster situations, include water supply of the affected populations and especially sanitation, is particularly heavy. Indeed, upstream of the proposed technical solutions, it is necessary to combine broad access to water resources without exhausting them, to provide an efficient service, but in a way that is both manageable by the beneficiaries and sustainable once the emergency periods are over, and therefore to adopt water point management methods that meet these requirements.
