Largely ignored when all attention is focused on the implementation of the Algiers Peace Agreement (April 2015), the Faguibine zone nevertheless requires special attention with regard to the stakes of stability, peace, development and security on the border with Mauritania and in the central zone of Mali. From the analysis of the dynamics of the territory emerge the many components of a fragile situation where social, political and ecological issues intersect from before colonization to the first years of the country's independence, when governance was strong and repressive; and from independence to the present day when the Malian state struggles to administer the entire territory, leaving room for all sorts of vague desires, settling of scores and acts of violence.Hamada Ag Ahmed, Alain Olive Mohamed and Issa Ag Hamahady
