Key messages from the Swiss Solidarity seminar in Port-au-Prince (Haïti), 2013

Swiss Solidarity and Groupe URD organised a seminar in Port-au-Prince from 30 September to 2 October 2013 entitled "In search of sustainable post-emergency assistance: the actions of Swiss Solidarity partners in Haiti". During the seminar, NGOs who had received funding from Swiss Solidarity in the previous three years discussed the relevance of the options they had chosen, the risks and opportunities created by their programmes, what had worked and what had not. They also shared their views about the issues that need to be taken into account, and the methods and know-how that are needed in order to implement sustainable activities in a post-emergency context.
