Since its creation in 1986, Electricians Without Borders (ESF) has acquired a strong experience in the implementation of electricity and water access projects in developing countries. In 2014, the NGO formalized its commitment to guarantee and continuously improve the quality of its programmes through a set of twelve criteria. This standard, which was developed during a workshop organised in November 2014 with around ten members of the association, was based on the Quality COMPASS method, Groupe URD's quality assurance method, and the CHS standard. This accompanying guide is the result of several months of collaborative work that integrates the experiences, good practices and lessons learned of the association's members.Julien Carlier & VĂ©ronique de Geoffroy
