The Chad Observatory of Aid Practices, which was launched in March 2009, aims to improve the quality of aid delivered to people in Chad via studies on specific subjects (livelihoods, humanitarian space, the environmental impact of aid, water and sanitation, etc.), by disseminating the findings of these studies, and by organising workshops for aid actors active in Chad. The objective of this evaluation is to assess the relevance and added value of the Observatory within the aid system in Chad in order to provide Groupe URD and its financial partners (mainly ECHO) with information to make decisions about the future of the project and to improve the service provided to humanitarian actors. The evaluation concerns the activities of the Observatory between March 2009 and September 2010.Véronique de Geoffroy & Sara Belleil
