This study aims to understand the factors that push Afghan women into chronic poverty and those that maintain them there, and then make recommendations for programmes to reduce this chronic poverty. This project was given to Groupe URD by the Afghan government, by way of the Ministry for Women, the MOHA – and two donors who are very involved in gender issues in Afghanistan (JICA and GTZ).
