Principle 7 of the Good Humanitarian Donorship Initiative (GHDI) encourages donors to “request implementing humanitarian organisations to ensure to the greatest possible extent, adequate involvement of beneficiaries in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian response”. This study was commissioned by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Centre de Crise in connection with inter-donor dialogue and the GHDI. Its objective is to make recommendations for ways to reinforce the participation of affected people (principle 7 of the GHDI).Véronique de Geoffroy, François Grünewald
