Mid-term evaluation of a WFP programme in Niger

August 2015 - February 2016

Groupe URD, in partnership with IRAM, has conducted the mid-term evaluation of a protracted relief and recovery operation by the World Food Programme (WFP) in Niger entitled, “Saving Lives, Protecting Livelihoods and Enhancing the Resilience of Chronically Vulnerable Populations”.

The evaluation looked at the results of the programme and drawn useful lessons for the future, in order to inform decisions for similar operations in the future. This programme was also part of strategic reflection about WFP’s institutional positioning on resilience, over and above the experience in Niger.

The evaluation has been carried out for the Evaluation Office, and took place from August 2015 to February 2016.

The evaluation has been undertaken in connection with a consortium with IRAM, via which Groupe URD regularly conducts evaluations for the WFP.
