Medical aid in large-scale, rapid onset crises: Haïti case study

Following its work on responses in rapid-onset crisis contexts, Groupe URD worked on a research project with the WHO and the Pan American Health Organisation on Health responses in extreme crisis contexts.

This resulted in the production of a lesson sharing book about the challenges during these early stages of an operation focusing on the case of Haiti, with the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO). It provides a wide-ranging assessment of the successes and difficulties which were encountered in the health sector.
