For all of us who love Mali and the Sahel, for the generations of agronomists who have left part of their hearts in these arid lands, the dunes of Aïrs and the mountains of Hoggar, the shallows of Kayes, the rice fields of Segou, the large millet fields planted with Karité in Kita or on the banks of Joli Bâ, the Big River, the crisis that has shaken the country since the beginning of the year is simply unbearable.
