"Managing and preventing crises"; behind these words, there are many ideals! The term "management" in its primary sense would imply a real control over a given situation in order to undertake actions that modify the course of events. The even more optimistic term "prevention" would suggest that we could, like preventive medicine, prevent a crisis from occurring... The experience of NGOs over the last few decades does not suggest such an interpretation of their role in crises. It must be said that crises are not avoided or managed, but rather that they shape us and force us to adapt better and better.Véronique de Geoffroy, François Grünewald
