The COMPASS is a project steering method for humanitarian and development projects. It aims to help organisations implement high quality, accountable projects that benefit communities and people affected by a crisis. It was developed by Groupe URD to: give meaning to project steering activities; put quality and accountability into practice in the field; and reinforce the coherence, complementarity and coordination of actors. The COMPASS is based on the quality and accountability commitments of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS). It is organized around four complementary actions of an intervention: 1. Implementation. 2. Financing. 3. Evaluating. 4. Improving. Each person can choose the entry point that corresponds most closely to their role and responsibilities.
