A certain number of new projects or developments are due to take place during the year.
Those who are familiar with the COMPAS method and the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) will be happy know that we have developed a new quality management tool that integrates the content of the Core Humanitarian Standard: the Quality and Accountability COMPAS. The different support materials are currently being published and should be available in January. Watch this space…
A number of recruitments are going to take place at the beginning of the year, some expanding the team and others to replace staff who are leaving to explore new horizons. Bonaventure, who has been with us for 16 years, is embarking on a new adventure with our partner the CHS Alliance, and Nawal, our junior researcher, is going back to university to do a PhD. We wish them all the best in the future! In addition to the two new staff members who will replace Bonaventure and Nawal, a new research coordinator position is going to be created and three other staff members are going to be recruited to work in our field offices. We will be opening an office in Bamako in connection with the “KEY” project – more information to come. And, as part of the RESILAC project, which we are running in partnership with ACF and Care France, we will also be opening an office in N’Djamena.
In the spring, a new website should be launched, along with a new logo, and related support materials. This will be an opportunity to freshen up our image, building on what already exists and giving a little boost to our communication!
Finally, we will also be developing our online training materials, which will begin with the launch of our e-learning platform during the year, which will initially house self-training modules and tutor-led e-learning modules.
