Meeting of the accountability community of practice in Plaisians

On 27-29 May 2019, la Fontaine des Marins, Groupe URD’s headquarters, will host the fourth meeting of the aid accountability discussion group. Eight organisations will come together to share their views on key issues facing the aid sector: the engagement of individuals and groups in projects (facilitation techniques for collective discussions) and the implementation of complaints mechanisms, particularly in health programmes and in consortiums.

The NGOs who will take part are Action contre la faim, Solidarités International, Humanity & inclusion, Médecins du Monde, Première Urgence International, Solidarités Laïque, Oxfam and Groupe URD.

Since September 2017, a community of practice on the issue of aid accountability has been meeting every six months to discuss issues and share good practices. Created at the initiative of Action Contre la Faim and facilitated by Groupe URD, the group brings together quality and accountability experts with the aim of sharing information about challenges and successes in the field, and discussing lessons and possible improvements. Each organisation is able to present its views and the tools that it uses in an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality. The meetings are held in French and in person, in a different office, every six months.
