Study on ‘mental health’
The objective of the RESILAC project is to contribute to the economic and social recovery of the Lake Chad Basin. It aims to improve people’s psychological wellbeing and their socioeconomic integration. The project is co-funded by the European Union and the French Development Agency, and is implemented by a consortium of NGOs, of which Groupe URD is a member.
As such, we have been asked to conduct a multi-disciplinary study to analyse individual strategies and collective approaches that determine the psychological well-being and socioeconomic integration of young people. The identification of emerging mental health problems, endogenous mechanisms for dealing with these, and the way that people perceive trauma in general and people with post-traumatic symptoms in particular, will be the main cross-cutting themes of this study.
Study on good practices regarding management and cooperation in a changing context (Lake Chad Basin)
In a complex intervention context with a high level of insecurity, where the global COVID-19 health crisis has called into question certain operating methods (constant adjustments, remote working, reinforced roles for local actors, etc.), Groupe URD has been asked by the RESILAC team to analyse the influence of operational methods on the effectiveness of an intervention in a changing context. This study will look at the main management and cooperation factors that contribute to achieving both expected and unexpected results in a changing context.
