In a few days, 20 years ago, we woke up to images of terrifying devastation in Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India, caused by a tsunami. We felt the same emotion on 14 December 2024, so we’re bringing forward the publication of our work on capitalising on the lessons learned from the emergency response to the 2004 tsunami, because despite changes in practices, many of the lessons can be useful for Mayotte.
