As well as introducing the report, the event included presentations by a number of experts, such as Catherine-Lune Grayson (Policy Advisor, ICRC), Sudhanshu S. Sing (Director of Humanitarian Aid International), Loretta Hieber Girardet (Chief of Risk Knowledge, Monitoring and Capacity Development, UNDRR) and Russell Miles (Director, Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience, Australian DFAT). The speakers looked at the various points of the report, analysing the relations between actors involved in humanitarian aid, development assistance and international environmental policy.

The report looks in detail at the relationship between climate change and humanitarian action. It asks how climate change is affecting humanitarian needs, describes the current level of preparedness to meet these needs, proposes necessary changes to improve preparedness and response capacity, and presents a series of activities to support these changes.

PREPARE will be holding another launch event in early 2022 to present the report to the South and North American public. The report can be found here.
