The monitoring of public development aid funding, and development efforts in general, is still not very well understood. And yet, it is essential for the accountability of technical and financial partners and for the efficiency and effectiveness of how these flows are managed by the beneficiary countries. Monitoring these flows properly is a way for partners to adapt their strategy to that of beneficiary countries.
The workshop tackles the crucial question of the accountability of partners, and particularly the monitoring of financial flows in the Sahel. How can we coordinate them and ensure that they are properly accounted for? How do we move towards a harmonised collection system to ensure that projects are accountable and increase their effectiveness?
