Training course: ‘Monitoring and evaluating the quality of a humanitarian project’, September 2019

The objectives of this training course, which is organised in partnership with Bioforce, include: defining key concepts ; developing a monitoring and steering mechanism based on a project action plan; organising and/or taking part in an evaluation process; acquiring the appropriate tools and methods and applying them in a way that is relevant to the different stages of an evaluation; designing and using data collection tools; managing the human dimension that the success of an evaluation depends on; and promoting the adoption of evaluation as a practice within an organization.

This training course is aimed at aid professionals who are in charge of managing, monitoring and/or evaluating a project, such as: Heads of Programme, Heads of Project, Project/Programme Coordinators, and those in charge of monitoring and evaluation, or in charge of quality within humanitarian organisations.

Obligatory pre-requisites: good knowledge of the project cycle and its tools, and related professional experience. Knowledge of and experience working in the international aid sector. Preferably also experience in relation to project monitoring and evaluation.
