The next session of “Evaluating the Quality of Humanitarian Action” will take place on 23-26 April 2018 at the Groupe URD training centre in Plaisians (France). This training session will provide you with the methodological knowledge you need to carry out or take part in an evaluation of the quality of a humanitarian programme. It is aimed at professionals from the international aid sector who are in charge of projects and/or who carry out evaluations (e.g. Programme Managers, Heads of Projects, Evaluation Focal Points, staff responsible for Quality within humanitarian organisations, etc.).

Contents of the course:

Key concepts in the evaluation of Quality;
Evaluation criteria and reference frameworks: CAD/OCDE, CHS;
The Quality and Accountability COMPAS evaluation method;
The different steps of the evaluation process: drawing up terms of reference, preparing the evaluation, methodological considerations and writing the inception report, collecting information, writing the evaluation report, presenting and using evaluation findings;
Initiatives to guarantee the quality of evaluations;
Institutional change to integrate evaluation practice more effectively.
