Working in sensitive areas: good practice in the field
Due to changes in the security context and the increased level of risk due to the increased terrorist threat and the proliferation of arms, Expertise France created a Security Division to implement a security policy and doctrine that is relevant to all the agency’s activities. Very quickly, it was asked to map security risks in the field for its collaborators, and to propose procedures that are rapidly applicable, with the aim of controlling the risks that are faced by its staff and its facilities. The objective of this day is for practitioners to discuss security issues in concrete and practical terms. This first seminar will be an opportunity to test the relevance of establishing a forum to exchange good practices on the theme of security. The second stage will then be to set up an informal network between NGOs and operators interested in this approach. Having been invested in this issue for 20 years, Groupe URD will be presenting its work on managing security through programme design and current thinking among the major donors (DFID, USAID, and EU).
The seminar organised by Expertise France will take place at Fiap Paris (30 rue Cabanis 75014) on 9 October 2018 from 9am to 4 pm.
