Objectives of the event: - To share key findings of the ICRC’s recent report, Present and engaged: How the ICRC responds to armed conflict and violence in cities. - To share examples of how humanitarian actors and local authorities have worked effectively together to meet key humanitarian needs in urban settings; - To stimulate discussion on how to strengthen humanitarian responses in urban settings and in other situations of protracted conflict.
