Humanitarian Networks and Partnership Week (HNPW 2017)

From 06/02/2017 to 10/02/2017 - Place : Geneva, Switzerland

Groupe URD took part in the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week in Geneva on 6-10 February. We contributed to the debates on disaster and crisis management and presented the findings of our recent real-time evaluation of the response to Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.

During this week of meetings between networks and partnerships involved in different aspects of humanitarian action, Groupe URD took part in three events:
– On 7 February, presented our vision of the key issues involved in disaster management during the UNDAC meeting;
– On 8 February, in the morning, we presented the findings of our recent real-time evaluation of the response to Hurricane Matthew in Haiti during an ad hoc session;
– And lastly, Groupe URD co-facilitated a special session with ALNAP on the new forms of coordination that are needed to cope with and adapt to different situations more effectively.
