MEAL IN PRACTICE: PUTTING QUALITY & ACCOUNTABILITY AT THE CENTRE OF CRISIS RESPONSE
Do you want to create and implement a MEAL system? Do you want to combine Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning activities with the commitments of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS)?
This training course covers the following points:
- Key concepts and trends related to the quality and accountability of aid projects;
- MEAL systems within the project cycle (at the field level) ;
- MEAL systems within the organisational improvement cycle (at the institutional level) ;
- Roles and responsibilities of the different actors of a MEAL system;
- Data management, decision-making, learning and protection;
- Key actions to reinforce the quality and accountability of a project (participation, protection, inclusion);
- Focus: management in a consortium, unstable contexts and agile management.
Target audience: This training course is aimed primarily at professionals from the international aid sector who are involved in the implementation, funding, monitoring or evaluation of aid projects, such as: Heads of Project, staff responsible for funding and partnerships, MEAL Coordinators, MEAL Technical Focal Points, etc.
Pre-requisites: solid experience in the humanitarian or development sectors (at least two years); familiarity with the project management cycle; fluent French (writing, reading, speaking).
Duration : 5 days (30 hours).
