Evaluate a humanitarian project
Do you carry out internal evaluations, are you an evaluation consultant or are you responsible for contracting evaluations?
This training course provides you with a complete methodology to carry out all the phases of an evaluation.
- Define the key concepts and ethical principals related to evaluating humanitarian projects;
- Describe how an evaluation is part of a quality improvement process and is a component of a monitoring and evaluation system;
- Define the main phases in an evaluation process;
- Design the main tools and methods and put them into practice at the various phases of an evaluation (terms of reference, evaluation matrix, data collection and analysis tools, evaluation report, etc.);
- Describe the issues involved in using evaluation results and the broad outlines of a quality improvement approach within an organisation.
Target audience: professionals working in international aid sector managing projects and/or carrying out evaluations; programme manager; project manager; evaluation consultant; quality manager in humanitarian organisations.
Prerequisites: proven experience in the humanitarian sector and/or evaluation in another sector; fluency in French (written, read, spoken).
Duration: 4 days (28 ½ hours)
