While CAR crises originate in part in neglected rural areas, they always end up in cities. The latest one in progress has resulted in numerous destructions and displacements of multiple populations. Humanitarian aid has tried to meet urgent needs, but the challenges of the future in urban areas remain a major challenge, and it is in this context that Groupe URD, supported by the Central African Government, the United Nations, the World Bank, the French Embassy and the Centre français in Bangui, is organising and leading a conference to project the city of Bangui into its future and its resilience.
