Evaluating a humanitarian project

This training provides you with a complete methodology to carry out all the steps of the evaluation process of a humanitarian project
- Define the main concepts and ethical principles associated with project evaluation;
- Describe how evaluation forms part of a quality improvement process and is distinct from a monitoring and evaluation system;
- Define the main stages in an evaluation process;
- Design the main tools and methods and put them into practice at the various stages of an evaluation (terms of reference, evaluation matrix, data collection and analysis tools, evaluation report, etc.);
- Describe the issues involved in using evaluation results and the broad outlines of a quality improvement approach within an organisation.
Target audience: professionals in the international solidarity sector managing projects and/or carrying out evaluations; programme manager; project manager; evaluation manager; quality manager in humanitarian organisations.
Prerequisites: proven experience in the humanitarian sector and/or evaluation in another sector; fluency in French (written, read, spoken).
Duration: 10 weeks of distance learning, 5 hours of learner commitment per week (50 hours in total)
